Supervised circuit

Circuit Response:

This is a 24-hour zone. Operates the same with the system armed or disarmed.

Static Button – Normal Condition
Button Press, or wire cut/short/removed – Immediate Police Dispatch (if monitored). Silent Alarm.

Installation Notes:

Best to wire directly to the main panel if possible. Wiring to an expansion board increases possible circuit failure and nuisance alarms.
Label wires at the panel with the flag: PANIC

Programming:

Hardware Type: EOL, Do not use a normally open or normally closed hardware type.  The resistor is there to provide a SUPERVISED CIRCUIT. If there is no monitoring of the alarm system and you program it as a silent alarm, then you will also need to add some notification method. This can be done using a relay to turn on a warning light in some other part of the building to warn others that assistance is required or a hold-up is in progress.

Zone Type: 06
